So for those of you who do not know me, my name is Laura Roberts. I have struggled with my weight all my life. My parents divorced when I was only 5 years old and the transition was not easy on me at all. My dad soon after met my now step-mom and that is when I began to pack on the pounds. In the eighth grade I weighed 180 pounds. I turned to food when I was bullied and gained even more weight. By my senior year of high school I was 300 pounds. Starting college wasn't easy, to be honest nothing every came easy to me. I was the kid who I had study harder than everyone else because the material didn't just fly into my head. Today I am 22 years old and weight 316 pounds. Both my parents are over weight. My mom used to be the picture of health, she walked 4-5 miles a day after working 12 hour days. Now my mom has chronic pain she weighs 359 pounds and can not walk father than from the front porch to the mail box. It kills me to see the two people I love the most in the world just deteriorate in front of me. Recently, I made a promise to my mom, that no matter what happened to her that I would get healthy and stay that way. I am young. I will be 23 next month and I want to be a better me in 2017, a healthier me.
Since December 12, I've lost 6.8 pounds. Help me keep this is. I would love everyone's encouragement and followers to keep me motivated! You can keep up with me and my weight loss journey by following me on Instagram or snapchat
